Who controls the information
Tech Geek UK Ltd (company number 09834597) is the controller for this website. Our registered office is Rourke House, Kingsbury Crescent, Watermans Business Park, Staines-upon-Thames, England, TW18 3BA. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under reference ZA511007.
Information we receive
If you contact us or request an assessment, we may receive the details you choose to share, such as your name, work contact details, organisation, project context, deadline, systems involved and budget range. Please avoid sending credentials, special-category personal data or unnecessary confidential information through a website form.
Why we use it
- To take steps at your request before a contract, including responding to an enquiry, assessing project fit and arranging a conversation.
- For our legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving the website, handling business enquiries and investigating abuse, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- With your consent, to use optional analytics or advertising measurement. You can withdraw that consent at any time.
- Where necessary, to comply with a legal obligation or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Website enquiry delivery
When you submit the project form, the details are sent to the TechGeek UK team by email so that we can respond. We use Resend as an email-delivery processor for this workflow. The email may also include a limited landing path, referral origin and campaign parameters where your browser provides them and you have allowed the relevant optional storage. We do not include advertising click identifiers in enquiry emails or use this context to make an automated decision about you.
Analytics and marketing technology
Essential preference storage may be used to remember your cookie choice. Cloudflare Turnstile is used as an essential security control on the enquiry form. Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity are loaded only after you opt in and only when those services are configured for this site. We do not treat analytics consent as a condition of using the website.
Retention
We keep enquiry information only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, manage the relationship, meet legal obligations or resolve a dispute. Project information is governed by the relevant signed agreement and any agreed data-processing documentation.
Sharing and international processing
We use service providers where needed to operate the website and communicate about enquiries. A particular project may use additional providers, data locations or security controls; these are selected and documented project by project. We do not promise UK-only processing or a particular data residency unless it is expressly agreed for that workload.
Who receives information
Access is limited to TechGeek personnel and service providers needed to host and secure the website, deliver enquiry email and, only after consent, provide analytics. Current website providers include Vercel, Cloudflare, Resend, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. Project suppliers and processing terms are agreed separately for each engagement.
Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal information, or object to certain processing. You can also withdraw optional analytics consent at any time through the cookie controls. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
